On June 7, 2021, images taken by NASA's Juno spacecraft showed craters, distinct dark and bright landscapes, and long structural formations that might be linked to tectonic faults on Ganymede's surface. Ganymede's magnetic field is created by a metallic iron core deep inside the moon. A rock shell surrounds the core, which is encircled by an ice shell.
Several NASA missions have explored Jupiter and its moons, most notably Ganymede. The Juno spacecraft was the most recent, taking detailed photographs of Ganymede in June 2021. Follow for more info to our website.
