Description

Spark II - Bead replacement sight 6-48 fits Remington, Ithaca, SKB field guns 3-56 fits Browning Citori target, Benelli, Beretta, Ruger, and Winchester shotguns 5-40 fits Mossberg 3mm x .5 fit Browning Gold 3mm x .6 fits Browning Citori Field model and BPS shotguns. Available in either red or green. Installation: Always make sure gun is unloaded and the chamber(s) are empty. With barrel pointed in a safe direction, remove the factory bead by unscrewing counter-clockwise. (Caution: some Remington shotguns have press-fit beads. If you cannot identify this on your gun we reccomend a gunsmith.) Determine the correct thread size by matching the thread pattern and diameter to the factory bead. With the correct threaded post removed from the sight base apply a small amount of thread locker to the end that will thread into the rib and screw the post into the rib and allow it to set up for about 2 hours. With the post installed in the reb screw the sight onto the post and note where the viewing end is aligned. (NOTE: The LitePipe is not removable). If the sight is not aligned, then remove the sight form the post and place a piece of medium grit Emory cloth on a flat surface. Hold the sight and lightly sand the bottome of the sight base. This will allow the sight to index the viewing end to the correct position. Lightly sand the bottom of the sight base and then thread back onto the post to check progress and continue as necessary. Once sight is almost aligned, remove the sight base and apply thread locker. Re-install sight and tighten. Improper installation may cause damge to product.

Could not install.
The installation screw was too short.

Poor sight
I bought sight from Ruger on 8/10/2009. Shot one run of 25 clay birds. Sight was broken off on the big end facing the shooter. I don't know if it was weak or what but Ruger will not replace it until I return it so my Red Label is down for at least two weeks right during Doubles. Sights need to be tough enough to last for years, not 25 shots.
